A new GPS!
Those who know me well, know I’m a technowanker (no – I don’t use mechanical aides to masturbate… the phrase was coined by my old boss Geoff by the many times I wanted to get cool new gear for work, and had only flimsy justification: I like new techy toys!). This week, I got myself a new GPS – the eTrex Legend HCx from Garmin. Yes – I already have a GPS, but it’s from the 90′s, and while it is a good solid device, I’ve been yearning for a few of the cool fancy functions the new devices have. I’ve done a complete review (a bit more technical) on my other site, but in short: this one has much better reception, and the ability to log tracks onto a memory card (which will allow geotagging of all photos on our upcoming trip to Alaska!)
