Great customer service: Primus

Too often blogs are all about complaining, what went wrong, which company screwed you over… Time for something different: I had a problem with my camping cooker: a bad soldered joint on the base broke rendering the cooker useless.  I was especially annoyed because the two year guarantee had just ran out.  Still – I thought it can’t harm to contact the manufacturer, and at least let them know about the problem, and ask them how to best get it fixed.  I sent an email to Primus, and later the very same day got a personal reply from a product manager apologising for my inconvenience, explaining that they were aware of the problem, and had fixed it in the latest model (the burner is now machined from one piece, rather than soldered together), and that they would like to send me a replacement.  True to their word, a few days later I received the replacement part in the post!

Well done Primus for excellent customer support!
