Mayne Island
As a last trip before we leave, we went for 3 days to Mayne Island. Mayne Island is one of the small Gulf Islands between BC and Vancouver Island, and a very pretty one it is! We got the bus to Tsawwassen, the ferry over to the island, and then cycled the 2km from there to our camp site – bikes laden with camping stuff and food (even a whole water melon!). We went cycling, hiking, hung out on the rocks, watched the world and ferries float by, saw seals jumping in the bay, watched racoons eating crabs at low tide, and had a really nice time!
